depending on the year model of your carbs.
most crossflow jonnyrudes from the mid eighties and up had fixed air jets for idle.
the jets are located at the top of each carb throat,one for each cylinder.
increase the jet size and it gets leaner,decrease it and it idles richer.
can be done without carb removal but you will have to remove the airbox cover.
