After a first successful rebuild of my '57 Fleetwin I've started on a rebuild of a '54campaign Fleetwin.Im in the middle of cleaning up all the parts carb pieces..After I tore everything apart I noticed that the low speed needle valve is badly worn.I've ordered a replacement but am wondering about the valve seat down inside the carburetor body.I can't see but am wondering if the seats is usually worn as well? Should I go ahead with the old or try to find a new carbon for it? This motor is not mine I am working on it for an acquaintance of mine who doesn't wanna put a whole lot of money into this motor!
Thanks,

Re: Low Speed needle valve and seat

The needle valve material is softer than the carb body casting so, the needle will get smashed and the "seat" will still be ok.
