I recently acquired a Lowe 1752 Jon running a 40hp Johnson. I need some advice on repairing the transom pad. The pad is soft on both ends behind the riveted in aluminum pods that contain floatation. It does have a floor mounted brace and seems to flex very little just below the transom pad. Has anyone done this repair on this model? It looks like the only way to remove the current pad is to remove the lower piece of channel and the floatation pods. Any advice before I tear into it would be greatly appreciated..
