I have a 1985 to 1987 ( I am not sure) evinrude on a old boston whaler--the two lower bolts are not mounted--I am assuming because the splash well covers access to this area--can anyone tell me how to properly mount these bolts? Thanks in advance!
Just above the slots that your lower transom bolts would go through is, on the boat side ,a set of threaded holes to accomodate just this situation.OMC'S transom drilling template will give you the location of those holes but drill straight as this has to happen balls on.
