I am researching my fall project and I am reading through manual 6 (pg 4a-13) where it says that the inner core wire needs to be cut to exten 13/8" beyond the threaded tube.I understand this instruction, however I am almost positive that I have read on this forum that you absolutely do NOT cut the cable. Can someone shed some light on this for me?Thanks-Blair OD6683545

Ayuh,..... Since that manual was printed, the replacement cables have changed,....

No cuttin' the cable,...
'n No special long socket needed,.... the core liner just unscrews instead,....

Thought of something else. Are we still crimping the support tube to leave only 1/2" of the core exposed?

cut nothing, crimp nothing, just assemble part A to part B, to part C...

if you have the new replacement cables, the support tube was eliminated
