Yes Don thats where i saw the tap instructions. Right or wrong the threads were already there and a loose fitting cable fitting. Thanks guys good info

I only found that Devcon at a machine shop. Expensive for a pint, but when you took the top off of the resin, it would start smoking.

With the Devcon, you could clean existing, smear it in, and re-tap threads.
better than jb weld.

thanks coors, Yeah but i have had it for awhile i dont know what the shelf life is. I think i'm gonna try the permatex thread sealer Don suggeasted

that permetex stuff looks like it could be a pretty good after attempt though..... at least the read on it's pretty good.....

Don't think I gave you the ULTIMATE product. It was just a product for repairing worn threads from a reputable company. Devcon, JB Weld, and probably good ole 5 min epoxy would do the job better than any thread locker, because it would fill the gaps and prevent movement.
Whatever you use, just understand that the next fix will requier a new bellhousing. Keep an eye open for a good one at a good price.

Yeah i'm gonna watch for one Don, Mine has been worked on before they had to drill new holes for the pins in the hinge pins. Going to try the permatex i think. Thanks for that heads up Zig. got it:)
