Lower shift cable

Ok I think I am having problems with the lower shift cable. I thought I had the original problem fixed but now I think Bond-O was right.

I have a 1981 Mercruiser outdrive and I am looking at the schematic of the "Gear Housing Assembly" and I do not see a lower shift cable. Is the shift shaft located as #22 the lower shift cable or am I looking at the wrong spec? Please advise.

Wrong pic. Lower cables are usually with the gimbal ring or bellhousing views.

Great! Thanks, so it looks like it is on the Transom Plate Assembly schematic.
