lower unit can i use a 79 on a 94 ?

will a lower unit fron a 1979 235 hp evinrude fit on a 94 Johnson Venom ? thanks to all who reply kevin

Check the driveshaft length, I think one is longer, and this will not work. Also, the 94 has a number of durability upgrades that you would not want to lose. Sell the 79, and buy the proper lower. Try www.tcoutboard.com for a used one, or this site for a rebuilt one.
