Today first thing I did was drain the lower unit.
The lower unit oil looked fine,not milky.
I did pour the old lower unit oil into a old
clean empty oil bottle.
The old oil that came out made the 6 OZ.mark on the bottle.

It's sort of a one of a kind motor made way back in 1988.
I got it brand new,way back then for $999.95
Note How much does a small 14 /15 HP Evinrude lower unit hold full by the book.
I had seem like 3-4 oz left in a 10 oz tube.

When I had my lower unit apart (83 -35hp rude) manual say's to fill from bottom drain up until oil start's to come out top hole.I have oil container with pump.Just make sure lower unit is level.Fill and install top drain plug,remove bottom filler line and install lower drain plug quickly so you don't lose a significant amount of oil.Alway's use new drain plug seal's.
