lower unit compatable 120 force

95 bayliner 120 force lower unit ,does anyone know what is compatable
I have water in it and it does not go forward anymore. I am looking to replace it but I dont know what sizes are an option or year .please let me know if anyone can help.just trying to get back on the water.

I know that up to 1994 they are almost all interchangeable. BUT at some point, possibly 1995, Merc started to use their own designed lower unit. If you have the very large bolt on engine clamps and the single ram tilt/trim, or if you have four 9/16 nuts holdinf the lower on instead of six 1/2 inch head bolts, then you have the Merc lower and you can only use lower units later than 95.
