I have a 1979 Evinrude 35 HP engine. Have determined that the clutch dog is likely bad as linkage is good and it pops out of gear at speed. Am considering buying a used one or possibly one remanufactured.
The model number is 35952A. Ser. number is E0001244.
What years and HP's are compatible? Would a 40 -50 HP from the same era work if I could find one used? Any help to kind of set the parameters for what I could look for would be helpful.
