Lower unit fluid question

A month ago, I had the lower grease, and the impeller changed on my ALPHA 1, 5.0 unit. The mechanic had me to watch the resovoir, to make sure that it was up to the proper line. I noticed it was low the other day. I have some QUICKSILVER High Performance Gear Lube. Is this what you use ?? The cap on the top of the resovoir, says: "Drive Lube Monitor".

I have some QUICKSILVER High Performance Gear Lube. Is this what you use ??

Who cares what we or anyone else uses, the question is, what did your mechanic put in it.

Mercury makes two different lubes. The two are, as I understand, are not compatible.

Not sure what the mechanic put in it. It was in a 55 gallon drum, that was un-marked.

A simple phone call would cure that problem.

I did call. It was the QUICKSILVER, so all is good.
