Lower unit for 30 HP Nissan

I have a 30 HP, model 30ML, Nissan and the lower unit housing is cracked (hit something). Does anyone know where I can get a used lower unit. I understand that some model Susuki engines have the same lower unit. Thanks for your help. Ben

Ben, does the motor have a serial number plate on it? That information may help some of these guys identify your motor, and give them more cross reference info. too. The year of the motor would be helpful too, if you know when it was made.<br /><br />I'll do some digging on the 30 HP Nissan in general and see what I can find out too, in the meantime.<br /><br />Ron

Ben, I really haven't found anything that can help you yet.<br /><br />Is it aluminum?<br /><br />Mechanics, if it is aluminum, can it possibly be repaired?

Ben, some of the guys may not be reading this post, since they don't necessarily work on Nissans.<br /><br />I would give it a day, and repost, calling the title something like "30 HP lower unit question", and see if anyone knows something that could help.<br /><br />Also, by me bumping this one back to the top again, they may open it out of curiosity.<br /><br />See ya, and good luck.<br /><br />Ron

Carry it to a propeller shop. They weld skegs and cracks alot. Yours might be repairable.
