Lower unit leaking water?

I noticed that some paint was coming off my motor at this seam in the lower unit. Being a complete moron when it comes to outboard motors I am just figuring that this is not supposed to happen.?

If you look at the crack/seam in each photo, you can see where the paint has flaked off and that there is water coming out.

The paint is flaking off probably because of a bad paint job Team. Water coming out the mating line while running on ears is common. Your putting water into the lower unit water side under pressure.....it's going to come out anyplace it can find.
