I have a 175 johnson and need to change the lower unit oil. I read you unscrew the lower screw than unscrew the upper screw to allow the oil to drain. When drained put your oil bottle in the bottom hole and squeeze until oil comes out of the top hole, replace top screw than bottom screw. Is this correct? If correct sounds pretty simple and are there any pitfalls I need to watch for? Also what type of oil goes back in. Which is best synthtic etc. Rookie boater never done this before very mechanical and want to make sure I do this right.
