Lower Unit Oil

I have an 85hp Force that I bought a month ago. I'm getting ready to change the lower unit oil, and I want to use the same type that the guy used before me because I know it's bad to mix. He can't remember if it was Quicksilver Premium or High Performance. I drained it and it was a greenish bluish color. Just wondering if there is a difference in color in oils and how I would be able to tell what type it was. Also, if I completely drain the oil, is it still bad to put a different type in? Thanks

the bluish one is the High Performance -the other one is brown. I think you are fine if you drain it all though

What should I do then if the guy I bought it from was using the premium but it really should be taking high performance?

Just drain it over a longer period, it won't hurt to have mixed that small amount. A few hours of letting it drain would do it, you could let it go longer.

I use 80/90 from Wally World.
I change my oil 2-3 times a year because the lower drain plug leaks a bit.
