Lower Unit Seal job on a '77 55hp 'rude

curious how bad of a job it is, if I should attempt it myself. I know I'd need a manual and I'm curious if the Seloc is sufficient for this job. I've heard the Seloc manuals are not that good.

I bought a seloc for $35, threw it away after buying the factory service book.
I wouldn't use for anything. Its THAT bad by comparison.
