lower unit seal replacement

I have water in my lower unit. I pulled the prop seal assembly and inspected the two seals behind the bearing. The outer seal is stiff and not pliable like the inner seal. What is the trick to replacing these seals? How do I pull the bearings out? Do I need a special bearing puller or can I just heat it and punch it out. I don’t want to ruin the bearing as it is in good shape and expensive. <br /><br />Thanks (1966 OMC electric shift)
