All,
I have a 1955 Evinrude 25 HP (Serial begins with 25018) Big Twin and I currently do not have a lower unit for the outboard as the previous owner removed it as the outboard was having spark issues. Where the lower unit today is located is anybodies guess.

Anyways I have located a 1956 Evinrude 30HP Lark (Model 25526) that is being parted out. Will this 56 Evinrude Lark's lower unit bolt up and work (swap out) to my 1955 Evinrude 25HP Big twin.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, as long as they are both the same shaft length ( long shaft or short shaft)

Thanks for the confirmation!

This is the last of my late dads old outboards from the 50's that needs to get back up and running.

Just replaced the points, coils, plugs, wires, and working on the carb rebuild. The impellor is waiting now for the arrival of the lower unit.

Thanks Again,
Chris
