lower unit

I have 1.75 gears in my lower unit i am wanting to switch to 1.62 . i know i have to change pinion and forward gear what about the reverse gear ?

You can get the same effect by installing a lower pitch prop. That is certainly a lot easier, and likely a whole lot cheaper.
