lower unit

i am thinking about trying to put a water pump kit in and wanted to know how hard it is to do this. i have a evinrude service book from a dealer which makes it look easy but just wanted some info i changed the oil but it looks funny not like water but like you shook it up or something

Hi Wayne<br /><br />Which motor have you got ?<br /><br />Was the oil light brown,or white. It should be clear brown, like cocnac ! or black of age and wear. Discolour indicates water mixed in oil.
