If you want to show your trip distance, I just use overlay data. When you set up your overlay data, go to "Navigation" and there will be a box for distance.
The best way to search for info is to download the manual in a pdf file from the Lowrance website. That way, you can use the search function within Adobe Acrobat to find what you are looking for easier than the manual.
