Lowrance Elite 5 DSI uploading coordinates question

Upgrading my humminbird 161 to a lowrance elite 5 DSI, are there ways to upload lists of coordinates to this new fishfinder? I know the Elite 5 has a sd slot what is it used for?

Check your manual. I'm sure the SD slot can be used for that but the file must be a .usr type file. Do a search and you can find free programs for converting yours to this type.

The SD is used to upload or download your waypoints, software upgrades etc.

GPS Utility is a great little program. I have been using it for five years now.
