Lowrance Sonar Viewer - any way to transfer coordinates to HDS unit ?

1st, I don't have mapcreate. Not even sure where the cd is and I wouldn't pay $50.00 for a LEI card reader just to use it plus I could never even find any for sale, even on LEI.
I am logging every trip I make on the lake, then reviewing the info at home. When I see good structure etc, I would like to be able to save those coordinates as a waypoint to put back in the HDS unit. From what I can tell, it does tell me the coordinates where the cursor is, but then i would have to transfer them manually - very, very time consuming when I have a lake bottom full of structure......
Am i going to have to break down and buy something like Dr Depth ? Or is there a cheaper way to do this.
Thanks for any info

What kind of chip does the unit use? Garmin uses a standard SD card. You can buy an SD card reader for less than $10

With the Mapcreate you are required to use the "special" card reader. While it does use a standard SD card, the reader has encoding that the program will not work with a "standard" reader. They limit the number of SD chips you can save maps to. It was a rather PITA, while I used it.
