Lowrance Transducer Question

I plan to buy a Lowrance HDS-5 Fishfinder/GPS. What is the difference between the 83/200 and 50/200 transducers? I normally fish water less than 30 deep. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. Craig

If you don't fish water any deeper than 30' then I would go with a straight 200kHz transducuer. No need for dual frequency at that depth.
