Why does my Lowrance Elite 4X have two outlets on the backside?

One is probably for the transducer cable and the other is for 12vdc

One is the power/transducer. The other is for a speed paddle wheel and temp. Do you have the manual?

What Ollie said, one is for power and the other for the 'ducer. Temp sensor is in the 'ducer. I don't believe that model has a speed option....

Now we need the OP to tell us which model Elite-4X he has. There are only about 10 different ones. Sonar only, Sonar/GPS, HDI, etc.

The connectors change depending on which model. On mine, the power and transducer with temp are through one of the connectors. I don't use the other one.
