probably just grade of stainless steel. Not much salt water inside an RV!

Electric works great if your hookd to shore power. I dont always have shore power, and dont have a gen onboard. Are there codes, or rules about what cooktop you can install?

LP Gas regulations for marine use is VERY strict.. LP must be kept in a sealed compartment that vents to the outside, emergency shutoffs and leak detectors are required, and also I think each component hooked to the gas system needs a dedicated line back to the tank.. If your boat is arleady setup, then that's good.. An LP system would be good, because you could get a marine type heater if you boated in colder weather, LP fridge, and the cook top

^^^ What Matt said ^^^

Familiarize yourself with what constitutes a correct, permanent marine installation. Don't skimp or cut corners here... it is NOT worth the risk.

This is just one example, there are many styles, google a search,or look here at I boats. They must be mounted high in the boat,to allow venting to go outside the boat, above the waterline. The vent will go downhill from the locker,as lp settles to any low areas. You do not want it settling in the cabin or bilge. As stated above, sniffers, valves, emergency shut off. It sounds scary, but installed correctly, they are safe.
