lube capacities

this may seem like an elementary question and it propably is. I am preparing to winterize the boat and I dont see a capacity listing in the service manual. It is a ford 302ci v8. any help is appreciated.

It would depend on who's Ford 302 it belongs to OMC, Mercruiser, or Volvo. And what size pan they put on it, and what year. Also depends on how much you can get OUT of the pan when you drain it.
My suggestion would be to warm the engine and remove the oil. Change the filter, and put in 4 quarts of oil. Start the engine till oil pressure builds, shut it off and allow oil to settle. Then check with the diip stick. Fill a little at a time till on the full mark. Then, RIGHT IT DOWN. Now you know for sure.

Its a volvo sx outdrive. Does anyone know the lower unit lube capacity?
