My first time. I think I posted this in the wrong section so I'll try again.
Just bought a 05 Fisherman. Having problem with the live well system, it doesn't work. When I pulled the boat from rack storage I noticed a factory hole in the bow, I assume it's the live well intake. Everything work great except the live wells. Could it be the switch or the pump itself, I need some help. I did not have time to tinker with it before I put it into indoor heated storage. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lund Boat

The intake on our '08 Fisherman is the screened protusion on the transom below the water line. The hole on the bottom of the hull under the bow live well is the drain.

If you can't hear the pump running in the stern, you should start trouble shooting the electricals (fuse, pump, wiring). If you do hear the pump running, start trouble shooting the plumbing. -Ken

Re: Lund Boat

Ken, thanks a lot. That makes perfect sense to me (the drain under the bow).
When I get the boat home I will immediately check the transom to locate and possibly clean the intake. I will also check the switch and the fuse panel. One other thing, with the boat on the trailer can I fill the bow live well manually to see if in fact the water drains from the bow. Do you know if the system recirculates water. This is my first Lund and my first experience with a live well system. Thanks a lot for your input. Little Mike

Re: Lund Boat

Re: recirculation, I believe the switch on ours has a setting for manual and another for automatic. There is an overflow port near the top of the livewell that spills through a hole on the starboard side of the freeboard. If the tank spills enough out (e.g. a windy day), the auto setting will fill it back up.

Yes, you can fill it on the trailer to test for leaks. Sounds like a good idea.

Also, on ours there is a spigot on the inside top if the livewell (nearest the console wall) that twists counterclockwise to open and clockwise to close. - Ken

Re: Lund Boat

Thanks Ken. I can't wait till I get the boat home again to try out everyone's thoughts on my situation. Using everyone's ideas I probably would have the problem solved by now. My port side stern well appears to be a cooler because it drains into the bilge, the starboard stern well appears do be just that a live well. Talk to you again, Little Mike

Re: Lund Boat

Those pump impellers can get stuck and blow fuses. Pull the pump and make sure the shaft turns freely. Check for power at the pump.

If the pump is running and no water is coming into the livewell, check the intake valve at the top of the well. It's a screw-in device that can be screwed in too tight and blocking water inflow. Back it off a couple of turns and watch for water inflow.
