M60a bevel gear b

If I can find the bevel gear b for this engine can you simply replace the gear? I know the service manual recommends you replace them all but if I can get a few more trips out of the lower end by only changing the b gear, I think it would be worth it. My b gear has a few pieces of the teeth missing but all the other gears look new.

It's always best to replace all 3 gears in a set, but if the A and C gears are not available, you really don't have a choice. I have had decent success changing just the pinion gear on smaller (30 and under) LU's, as long as the A and C gears looked "perfect".

Cool. I will look for one and when and if that one fails replace it.
