hi there captain
i have a m70a2 and it is just a pull start deal witch works for me but i would like to have a battery on board to run some electronics fish finder etc
like i said it is a pull start so i does not have the original rectifier so i picked one up at radio shack ( read somewhere that that would do it ) and i know that i have to connect it to the white an yellow wires coming from the magneto but what then, do i just run it to the battery or what, any advise would be majorly helpful
thanks a lot in advance

Re: M70a2 charging system

If the bridge rectifier is robust enough, yes, the DC wires just go to the boat's battery system. We use Factory parts, so I can't comment on the RS unit. YMMV. Yes, the white is the alternator signal, and yellow is alternator ground.
