so i just recently had the lower unit off and i inspected the water pump, the housing looked fine and the impeller looked fine. got it all back together put the hose on it fired her up and it wouldnt pee. i felt air being pushed out of the pee hole but there was no water. any suggestions

You are not pumping. The "air" is exhaust leaking back into the cooling system. You may not have the water pump aligned with the water pipe. If so, even with the pump working, it would be pumping into the exhaust housing, rather than up the water pipe.

i dont undertand your post, is it suppose to be pumping into the exhaust housing, if not how do i keep it from doing that.

You need to connect wp housing upper rubber round seal into water pipe, probably misaligned during lower unit back up. Pull leg down and align properly when assembling back.

When I dropped the LU there was no water pipe attached to the impeller housing unless it came off when I was removing the lower unit. And is stuck in the housing is this possible

i got the pipe lined up. the motor does pee but only if i give it gas? at idle it spits and blows bubbles? what could cause this
