Well I got the 1850 out on the river today.
This is the one I picked up last week. Since then I have re-rigged the throttles, adjusted the idle ( way easier once I closed the manual start priming valve). Installed a new tach, speedo and fuel gauge. Also a bit of cleaning.
Took her out on the Alabama this morning with my daughter.
Made 5000 rpms at WOT and 38.9 mph on the GPS. Bulled back and cruised on plane making 4400 rpms and 33.5 mph. Lifted the nose pretty good then jumped right up on plane. road great.
One thing I definitely need to do is reverse the trim switch. To me the switch should be the same as the gauge. Kept confusing me on up and down.
I think I can just turn the switch around in the throttle. I want to have my right finger be up and my left be down.
