So it begins, the resto! Itemized list of what needed in order to come.
EZ, pm sent to move to resto threads!!!!
1 seal hull
gluvit and rivets???
a. Best place for gluvit?
b. buying bits and dolly's for bucking rivets
c. missing two rivets under "ribs" in hull "proper name"? replace with closed end blind rivets and 5200?
d.close Key hole from inboard, what thickness is my transom skin? I can't read the specs in the brochure sticky!
e.E for effort, turn 40 May 5 explains blindness LOL

2 Just for Jas,
a. Going to put battery's in ski locker affair.
1. going to run twin outboards plus bow mount Minn Kota = 5 battery's
2 bats together running 1 motor and electronics " parallel or series" always confused on terminology
1 bat starting second out board and radio
2 bats running 24v troller, my Ipilot auto pilot, 60" shaft going to be pushing it!!
This will raise floor 5" from stock with batts running bow "cuddy wall" to stern, in a center line 80" "SKI LOCKER"
What do you all think about that for battery placement??????
3. Fuel tanks,
a found two under seat box tanks
1 would like to sink as far as possible in floor to hull under seat boxes and preserve under seat box storage.
2 do not know capacity of them yet, can not imagine them being more than 15 gals a piece
3 so need to find belly tank to fit in cuddy floor ala Jasonoutside style, gain capacity
4 problem is, I roll with twin out boards with separate fuel cells to eliminate fuel issues taking two motors down, so how do I get capacity with the belly tank to help me?? Yes I fill my current boats two tanks from different sources! " if you can't tell I have had bad experiences with i/o's and 1 out board set ups" 2 is one one is none!!! as far as i/o's go why invite water into your boat!
If I cure the questions that should get me to the point of decking, right???
After Decking., HOT TOPIC
Flotation foam.
I know there are two schools of thought, pool noodle or rigid sheets " which i have access to unlimited pink foam" vs pour in foam which is what I am leaning towards!
How much poured in foam??? Chime in Dj, I know you have researched it. 16 lb kit or what>>>???? how many lbs.?
I feel poured in will fill voids and give me stiffness in spots I can't fill with rigid, or can I use a combination of both? Will they play nice together?
enough questions for now, Thanks for your replies!!!
Rick,
