After all the problems I was having with water in the gas (problem solved), me and my son took the boat out yesterday to see how she runs.

She purred! With the new Smart Tabs, she will plan out below 10MPH, hardly any bow rise, no porpoising, etc. She cuts thru with a very low profile.

3.0L OMC Cobra, top speed I could get to while trimming it out was 34 with 2 people, maybe 300lbs. Not the fastest boat in the world, but fast enough for fun.

Another guy at dock with an 87 Four Winns thought mine was a 2006 or 2007, He said man that is good shape for a 1992.

Fish finder worked good for a cheapy, 6 foot Bimini will be here Wednesday.

Nice to have a running boat!

Sounds good! It's so great when a plan comes together.

The gas cap was not sealing against the deck fill plate. The previous owner had the gas cap replaced, but no the deck fill. I decided to stuff a rag into the gas neck, and close the gas cap. Poured a gallon of water on the gas cap, opened it and the rag was soaking wet!

Should be the end to that problem.....
