My carbs currently have the .080 fuel jet. I fish lake mead and it is around 1200' elevation here. There is a lake I would like to take my boat to but the elevation there is around 5500'. According to my factory manual it says to run the .080 between 0' and 1500' elevation and at 4,500' to 6000' run the
.074 fuel jet. If I leave the .080 fuel jet in, would I be OK? I would prefer not have to replace the cork gaskets or have to buy the smaller jets. FYI, the other lake has a 5mph speed limit so no WOT. I sure would love to get to the other side of the lake easier and leave my float tube at home.
