My 02 Center console Cape Craft has a hard pull to the left with trim tabs all the way up. I have a trim tab indicators and to get the boat drive straight, the starboard trim tab is down about 60% and 15% on the port side.

I tried turning the outboard motor torque tab to the *left* 45 degrees from center but not a difference. I don't know the history on the boat before i bought the boat 3 months ago. The boat is hooking to the left before plane and worse after plane. Feels like the boat is almost going sideway. What are possible reasons for this hard pull? The motor is counter rotating.

1) Could it require close to a 90degree adjustment to the left to get it to go straight?

2) Please look at the pic of the hull, its a spot for a through hull pump. will the create my problem? its on the port side.

3) Should I try a right handed prop at low to mid speed to see what happens?

what I can verify.

1) Local dealership and another marine shop took a straight edge to the hull and examined the hull and found no issues.
2) Both places verified on my v-shaped hull that the motor height is fine. And its w/n specs according to honda manual.
3) Both places stated that the motor looks like its in the middle of the boat.
4) Both places verified the prop size, diameter and pitch should be fine.
5) boat floats on water evenly, but hasn't been water log tested.
6) A guy who has driven boats before noticed the issue as well regardless of how its trimmed.

Snapper season started and I have put alot of heart, sweat and blood into work on this boat, and it sucks I can't take it into the gulf. Im open to all suggestions please. I will check this constantly.

are you just watching the trim tabs indicators? one could be out of calibration and still down. I also recommend looking at the prop.

The trim tabs and indicators are accurate. If you don't mind me asking what would cause the prop to be an issue? causing to much torque?

Has it always acted this way for you? Or did this just start happening?

Have you had anyone look at the rear 3-4 feet of the hull on the bottom and stern and chines to see if it is mis-shapen?

Does the trailer fit the boat, is the boat well supported when at rest? Hull distortion can result if not supported well. Knowing more about previous history regarding how it was stored would be good to know if you can find that out.

I have had the boat for 3 months, yes 2 mechanics didnt see any indications except for my the pic in my orginally post. Going to check here in a few minutes on Ill take a picture of how its supported too. Getting history is not an option.
