3 different stores demand the same thing. They also said my email was incorrect. But that would be corrected after I open a account !!!1

Americans must be very simple minded. If they let a company demand a account. So they can invade my computer files and sell every site I visit. They do nothing. But collect and sell my visits to sites. Computer hackers have a friend in most corporations.

This is a two way street..companies would be very stupid to ship a product to an unknown entity using an unverified credit card.

I have used these companies FOREVER with credit cards.
The fact is their lawyers have written in rights for the companies to make tens of millions world wide by selling what companies I visit.
The consumer is powerless to resist their demands.
Back to smaller companies.

I also have a bone to pick here. All those companies wanting me to register with them in order to become a "registered member" complete with username and password.
And no, its not that the companies run a risk of unsupported credit card, because the payment is always verified before the purchase goes through. It is the sale of personal information, mostly for targeted advertisement. I never register with any of those companies. I do not want advertizing garbage in my mailbox , be it snail mail or e-mail. It is more than an inconvenience. I am sick and tired of getting advertisement addressed to my wife who passed 2 years ago

That only works when the possibility is offered. Many do not have that possibility.
I use the other alternative which is just not buying from those companies.
I realize that I must be fighting windmills and as such prone to lose no matter what, but at least it gives me the illusion of fighting back.

The validity of the card is not the issue. It’s who authorized the purchase.

A lot happens in the 3 seconds it takes the algorithm to verify your payment method

Can’t remember the last time I was asked to “make an account” to buy or do anything.

Probably do 85% of my on-line shopping through my Amazon Prime account. Use PayPal for the others
