Make model identification help

G'day guys
Picked up a bargain motor for $150 but its been painted and like all painted motors they never covered the manafactur plate

Woundering if anyone can help identify via a core plug number have pics of the motor uploaded
Off inspection id say late 70s to mid 80s
Jhonson 9.9

1985 or older.----Model # plate is missing / removed.----Perhap done and painted for a reason ?
