Here's how to make a Cobra shift lever alignment tool.

Start off with the 7-13/64 height adjustment on your shift rod.
Use masking tape to template it's position.
Trace out the stud positions and gasket perimeters.
Carefully remove the template and trim to desired size.

Look at these pictures and you'll get the idea.
Mine shift lever is dead on so I'm not messing with it.
All thats needed now is to transfer the template to piece of steel and punch it out on the bandsaw and throw it in my toolbox.

I know this thread is very old.... it be great if you just traced out that piece of wood and a piece of paper with a sharpie, scan the piece of paper. Then people could just use that as a template for a piece of wood and make these stink'in things easy. Please do that :D.
