I finally did that last year. Moved the car battery from the small bow seat under the bow deck. To the transom compartment. BIG mistake when any wind is blowing and I have to dock in my shared dock space. The bottom of the bow is out of the water. Wind and any slight rudder angle causes instant bow angle change. Panic reverse thrust very often.
I have to move the battery back to the bow. Also need 1 of the 2...... 6 gallon gas tanks in the bow full.
Aluminum boats can be too light to be fun in a breeze or close docking spaces.

I've had several sized aluminum boats in my life and blame them on my messed up back. They are nice and light for towing and the low maintenance but you get your ass kicked, and back pounded when the wind blows and conditions get rough.

Gotta slow down when the going gets ruff.....yea I know, we want to keep going fast, in our nature.

Gotta take care of your nuts too . To much bouncing around , particularly in boxers is not good . Standing at the helm , feet 18"apart , every time the boat bottoms out gravity gives them a wee tug . An hour or so of that is plenty .

I have some of these, they work but barely.....
I've been trying to find a better spring, something to give a bit more travel.

Something like the coil over from my Honda trail 70.
