Don't mean to burst your bubble, but you'd better try taking your laptop out and try viewing the display in the sun before you start buying accessories. I think you'll find that laptop screen will be next to impossible to see. Otherwise it should work very well, but will be slower than any of the newer gps's. However, the tracking and routing advantages would probably outway this.<br /><br />Ted
