Mako 17 water around gas tank

On Mako boats the gas tanks are foamed into a fiberglass tub that suspends from the deck. I have water in the tub surrounding the gas tank.<br />I removed the water with a wet vac and attempted to reseal the tub where it mounts on the deck.<br /><br />I was thinking of drilling holes in the tub floor so water could no longer collect.<br /><br />What do you think

a better idea will be to cover the console when not in use and try to seal up where ever the water is coming from.I think the set up is designed to keep any bilge water out.Charlie

Hi, I've got probably the same Mako 17 and it needs a new tank, apparently. How easy was it for you to access the tank? Did you have to remove the console entirely; i.e., disconnect all the wiring or could you just lean it to one side? Did you happen to take any pics? Thanks!
