Re: Man it is COLD out!

Its too cold. I didn't want to go out this morning. Mid 40s is way to cold! Last week we had a "snow day" from school. We got the automated phonecall from the school at 5:30 am. At that time, it was 30 degrees. We had just a bit of slush in the gutters. By 7:30, it was almost 40. And down here, that is a big deal. All schools and many businesses closed.

I'm in shorts again. It's in the 60s out today. Just took my scoot out for a spin to get my hair cut. Not a cloud in the sky, an absolutely beautiful afternoon.

What are you guys talking about cold air for? You openin' your fridge too much? d8)

Re: Man it is COLD out!

Got up to 10 today - headed back down. Schools on a 2 hour delay tomorrow again for the 3rd day in a roa (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday). Supposed to get to about -8 tonight - but looking like it might be colder. Wind is blowing at 20MPH so it FEELS real cold. Had a house leveled by fire a couple townships away last night- Thank God we were only called for stand by. Way to cold to be playing with water!

From North New Jersey:

This morning it was Zero. Right now its 8. Going to be cold for a while. So far the snow fall only adds up to maybe 2" max for the season so far. Had really warm temps hitting 60's in January!!! Should have around 2 ft or so of snow but it just doesn't come. Expecting a big snow fall soon.

Re: Man it is COLD out!

We had -22 a few years back, that was loads of fun. Didn't get above 0 for a few weeks. We have had some periods of below zero this year, now the eastern side of the country has it, and ya'll can keep it. Now its a downright steamy 30-40 degrees...

I agree, it's all King George's fault it's so cold. Fuel prices were dropping to much and he needed a reason to prop them back up.
