Hello everybody
I opened the thermostat housing, the manifold and the riser of a GM305 1978 to check and clean them from rust.Apart from painting externally is it good to paint them internally?

Ok i see...
Can you also tell me if it's good idea since i can tell they are enough worn out but they only have some rust if it's a good idea to send them to the sand-throwing machine?I hope that internally this will clean manifolds, risers, housing good.Do you agree?
At last is it a good idea to adjust to the thermostat's housing a hose and force plenty of water into the engine to clean its cooling circuit?
Thanks in advance.

Well,......

Removing the Rust Patina from the insides of the manifolds will, Really do you No Good,...
It'll Rerust in a Day......
I wouldn't waste the Time.+ Effort to Sand Blast them.....
I'd just knock whatever is Loose, Out,+ call it Good.....
And,.....
As far as flushing the rest of the System,+ Block,..... It Can't Hurt,....
But,... I don't know as it will do Awhole lot of Good either,......
Just pull the Drains,+ Anything else that'll allow the Crud to exit,+ Have at it.......
