I have a 350 small block the manifold was cracked no water in motor crack was just on water jacket however my setup is different than one purchased mine had 2 gaskets and a steel shim between manifold and riser the step I bought only has one gasket for that spot I was told my setup was to restrict water flow and I didn't need that only to use one gasket no shim which cuts off the water jacket completely I need to know with step up to use please help

Mando, I am a new guy at this and I don't know the answer to your question, but let me make a few suggestions. 1; Use punctuation marks, your first post is a killer run on sentence. I'm not sure what your question is. 2; Post your engine and out drive’s serial numbers, that way Don S & Achris can look up from Mercruiser exactly what you supposed to have, and can answer your question. 3; Post photos of your install and what the issue is. 4; Calm down & relax, most people on this site are working for a living and they will get to the site when they can.
