I have a 16' Lowe Roughneck tunnel hull with a 1993 Evinrude 90/65 Jet drive (model# E90JLET). I found (and ordered for $85!) the repair manual for my engine listed in the 65hp section at Ken Cook but they didn't show an owner's manual. They do show an owner's manual for model# E90TLET in the 90hp section. I understand that the practical output of my 90hp is 65hp due to the inefficiency of the jet drive. I believe the "J" in my model number refers to the jet drive and the first "T" in E90TLET stands for electric start, trim and tilt (which I also have in my E90JLET). Does anyone know if the upper unit is the same in the two model #'s? Would the owner's manual for the E90TLET work for the E90JLET? I'd appreciate any information you can supply.

the owners manual, basicly, only tells you how to start the motor, and to wash it when done. all maintainance, and operation is in the service manual.

Thank you for the info. I won't bother then with the additional $40 for the owner's manual. Since the item number for the service manual for both the
E90TLET and the E90JLET at Ken Cook is the same, I'm guessing that either it's the same upper unit or that the manual covers more than one model and will tell me what I need for my model.

BTW - I used to have a great lab/husky mix named Tasha. Is the photo on your posts of a Siberian Husky? It's beautiful.

Thanks again.

yes, she is my best friend. and loves the boats. she had been abused and i rescued her. now one of the best dogs i have ever had. until she gets out of the yard off the leash. then she runs until tired and comes home for a bath.
