Manual override screw for tilt trim

Hello everyone I just acquired a new boat the Mako 19119 feet with a Johnson Evinrude v4 120. In any event I've looked through the forms I had problems with the trim not working both pistons did not work at all the tilt however would go up and down I opened up the reservoir to check the fluid it released a lot of air now the motor is stuck and full tilt position and nothing happens when I press down tilt or trim neither one goes down motor is working fine the manual release is stuck and before I go wailing on it I wanted to make sure that it is ready tighty lefty loosey and not a reverse thread pattern

Maybe you can help with one thing though neither one of the trim pistons are moving at all there are full and all the way out and no matter what I do I can't seem to get them to move at all any thoughts

Model number?
Is the manual support bracket engaged or not?
Did you top up the reservoir?
When you push DOWN does the electric motor run?
When you push UP does the electric motor run?
Did it work previously and stop by itself or has it never worked?
Can you feel or hear the relays activating when you push UP or DOWN?
Do you have a standard controller with a rocker switch in the handle?

Yes thank you for your post. I read more post in search for the answers. And in doing so I continue to bleed it and as I bleed more and more it started working. I have since put new shift, throttle cables, a starter, 2 new batters, a vhf and Garmin fishfinder depth finder on it and got all the lights working. I don't sit idle very well and when I'm looking for answer I'm looking for my answer ASAP. How active is this form I took almost 2 days before I heard from anybody just outta curiosity. The vault the forum is very comprehensive and does have a wealth of information. I am a maritime mechanic however this is the first outboard ever really dealt with this big must have been smaller engines up to 25 in a 50 monthly all Nissan or Tohatsu diesels and Volvo Penta Chevys things like that are what I normally deal with. I'm a sailor so I can do just about anything on a sailboat as well I've refurbish many boats small and big and have a vast knowledge of electrical ship systems Computers GPS and things like that specializing in wind and solar self-reliance off the grid the fabrication. Please let me know if I can help your forum now in any way

If you look back, you originally posted this at about 12p EST in the US, and about 5 hours later, Fed posted a reply w followup questions, which you didn't answer.

Try breaking your post up into paragraphs. One long run on post makes it hard to read and post replies too.

Ty i did not see that till late last night. Will have to make a note to refresh the page every time I look for something. Have a feeling that's why I was unable to see his post until it was actually a day later I'm sorry I did say two days, it was one day later when I saw the post. My question about the hydraulics was pretty clear straightforward it's the one that came with the Johnson 120 there are three persons I described it quite well I thought should have been an easy answer continue bleeding. The only thing I did forget to mention was it was a 83 year of the motor tilt trim and the boat itself. Also have some odd corks that the motor is doing and some questions that all I guess I'm going to have to post elsewhere on your forum thank you for your time and help
