good day. as a new member i appoligize if this is a repeat question but maybe someone can steer me in the right direction. i have recently purchased a 1974 22.5 fiber form boat with cuddy and 351 merccruiser. previosly had a 188 hp merccruiser with a 888 leg. still has the leg. i am after a owners manual and repair manual.
the person i bought it from husband ran the boat and she could not tell me anything about it so i am in the dark with most of the operation of it.

Welcome aboard.

As far as repair manuals go, since it seems the boat has been refitted with a different engine and drive somewhere in time, you will need to find some serial numbers for the engine/drive and post those as who knows what year the engine could be. Having a few pictures may help also.
Hopefully the engine will have a tag by the starter with a s/n.
