Re: Manuals

Start by googling for what you are looking for. Try Mercury forums and classic boat forums.

You will probably find exactly what you are looking for is not available. Some generic manuals are available but like the generic vehicle service manuals, they are pretty much useless (at least IMHO).

More likely to find a site that has a blow up of a parts diagram, unless you can find an old marine mechanic shop with what you are looking for.

You might also try the Mercury Outboards section and the Restoration section on this web site for leads.

Good luck and good hunting.

Re: Manuals

I found one at the public library. Alos our boat junk yard sells old ones.

Re: Manuals

EBSCO Publishing Service Selection Page
Username: marshall
Password: public

after logon:

Select small engine repair

Select Marine/Boat motor

Scroll down & select manufacturer

Specific for your year & motor would be better, but in a pinch the combined is better then nothing

Re: Manuals

I just signed up to say thanks to jbcurt00 for that site link - very useful!

Being from Australia, the random question (how many states) needed some thought!

Re: Manuals

You are welcome, but I am only re-posting info from another Iboater. WingedFoot, I think.

Re: Manuals

Keep in mind guys, the manuals in the EBSCO link are Clymers aftermarket manuals (worst of the worst aftermarket manuals), not OEM by any stretch of the imagination. They have lots of mistakes and omitted information in them. If you want serious manuals, find the OEM manual.

Re: Manuals

Yes - I realised the EBSCO link was very limited, but it helped me.

I then looked into buying a manual, but it turns out the iboats site can't send to Australia at present.

Cheers - and Merry Xmas
